From several anecdotes occured during a career as producer and curator, a reflexion about the last niche for moribund conceptual routines where, Art is confused with design (in the best case), concepts replaced by interfaces and artworks by interface demo.

From 1999 to 2007, RICHARD CASTELLI was the senior curator of Lille 2004 European Cultural Capital. He also curated exhibitions such as Cinemas of the Future, Robots !, Microfolies, Du Côté de Chez… (with Peter Greenaway, Chiharu Shiota and Erwin Redl). He is the founder and director of Epidemic and is the curator of several exhibitions in Berlin (i.e. Vom Funken zum Pixel, Martin-Gropius-Bau, 2007). Recently, he curated the Robotic Art exhibition at Cité des sciences et de l'industrie in Paris. He is the producer of several artists and also coproduced numerous 360° and/or stereoscopic films/environments for renowned media artists.
