CORPORAL "SHE"
let "she" move your body
by Marcello Lussana
MotionComposer -- part musical instrument, part dance machine -- is a project of Palindrome Dance Company to turn movement into music. Programmer-performer Marcello Lussana directs this participatory event in collaboration with Dresden Techno & House artist Jacob Korn and Robert Wechsler. Participants will have the chance to play the track "she" with their body in space.
Marcello Lussana is a composer, a software engineer and free thinker specialized in interactive systems. Focal point of his work is the interaction between music and human movement. He is based in Berlin where is actively involved in the improvised music scene. He is also a Phd candidate at the Humboldt University of Berlin, researching the relationship between interactive music and human consciousness. He is musical director of the project Motioncomposer www.motioncomposer.com bringing programmers and musician together to create interactive music systems: a chance for everyone to make music through body movement. With the environment "Techno" any recorded music can become interactive!
Jacob Korn is a well-known Dresden artist. Influenced by Kraftwerk and the sound of 90's techno and house music, he is continually experimenting in new recording styles and production techniques, while developing his own music tools for cross media-arts and interactive performances. FEEDBACK:
Sonic performative bodies
and multisensorally adaptive
environments / virtualities
In this seminar, theoretical works with sound-bound body-environment interaction are set in relation to our current digital culture by means of own artistic research work.
